THE GREAT GAME

In collaboration with DOC ART GALLERY, St. Petersburg’s State Museum of Urban Sculpture hosted Oshkukov’s solo exhibition. Beyond a retrospective, it probed the philosophical core of his work. A chessboard at the centre symbolised the “field” of modern intellectual play—its rules ambiguous, its “pieces” (Oshkukov’s sculptures) moving by their own logic.
